Freedom Fibre has distributed litter pick kits across North Shropshire, where it is currently completing a Project Gigabit contract to roll out fibre connectivity to around 12,000 hard to reach homes and businesses.
Ogi will be the headline sponsor for the Porthcawl 10k for the second year running and is adding junior races and a race aimed at school groups to the July event.
The altnet has begun inviting schools within its rollout communities to take part in ‘Ogi Jogi’ races of 800m or one mile.
Twenty schools, chosen by the organisers, will get a complete race event pack plus £150 to kick-start a school fundraising effort.
Louise Clement, Community Engagement Lead, said: “Community is a big part of everything we do at Ogi, and this event, getting schools out of the classroom for a bit of fun and to raise money for the community, is a fantastic way of showing that.
