Wessex Internet has connected its first customer in South Wiltshire as part of an £18.8 million contract awarded by Project Gigabit, bringing faster broadband to around 14,500 residents across the region.

Quickline has delivered a full fibre broadband connection to Stump Cross Caverns, a tourist attraction in the Yorkshire Dales.
The connection will unlock a range of new digital services and opportunities for the site, including augmented reality experiences, helping it to engage visitors in innovative ways while boosting operational efficiency.
Oliver Bowerman, MD of Stump Cross Caverns, said: "The installation of full fibre broadband is a game-changer for us. Not having the internet these days is like not having power, you need it to do absolutely everything in the business.”
