FibreNest – the full fibre broadband service owned by Persimmon – will be sold to BUUK Infrastructure in a £100m deal, with proceeds going towards the housebuilder’s growth strategy.

ASK4 has acquired ClearFibre in a move that will support the MSP’s long-term goal of improving connectivity and service delivery in multi-tenant buildings, as well as strengthening its ongoing commitment to the UK’s Build-to-Rent (BTR) market.
As part of ASK4, ClearFibre’s customers will benefit from the combined expertise, broader service portfolio, and technical infrastructure of a multi-tenant connectivity specialist operating across the UK and Europe.
ClearFibre was previously the part of Elevate that focused on helping to connect UK homes in the private rental sector to full fibre broadband, using a 10Gbps capable Nokia XGS-PON based FTTP broadband network.
Jon Thornhill, Group Strategy Director of ASK4 said: “This acquisition, our first under GI Partner’s ownership, strengthens our ability to support the Build-to-Rent sector with deeper expertise, enhanced networks for critical building systems and a focus on resident experience. Our priority is to ensure a seamless transition for ClearFibre’s customers.”
Chris Coulton, Deputy Head of Portfolio, Sustainable Infrastructure, at Gresham House added: “ClearFibre’s focus on consumer broadband makes it a strong strategic fit for ASK4, who are well equipped to support its next phase of growth. At the same time, the deal allows Elevate to further focus on delivering reliable connectivity and managed services to business customers throughout the UK.
“Gresham House's investment in Elevate sits within our digital inclusion investment subsector, focusing on infrastructure that aims to provide better access, connectivity and increase productivity.”
The partnership will allow ASK4 and ClearFibre to bring aligned cultures, shared values, and a commitment to delivering digital services in high-density residential environments, giving existing ClearFibre customers continuity with the same teams, backed by the scale and support of ASK4.
The ClearFibre brand will remain visible in the short term, with a view to gradual alignment under the ASK4 brand.
