Quickline is collaborating with Hull City Football Club as a new commercial partner for the 2024/25 season, to deliver benefits to communities across the East Riding of Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.
Avonline has expanded its partnership with Ogi, a year after being awarded a five-year contract, increasing its business with the altnet three-fold.
Avonline is working alongside Ogi to deliver fibre connectivity to 52,000 homes and businesses across south Wales.
The project is part of a first phase £200m infrastructure rollout project, set to provide fibre to 150,000 premises across south Wales within the next five years.
The pair have been working to rollout broadband in Abergavenny, Monmouth and Chepstow.
As part of the ongoing partnership, Avonline is increased employment in the Monmouthshire area, recruiting local people into skilled and highly skilled roles across the team.
It is expected that further new jobs will be created as the partnership expands.
Neil Harris, Head of Network Build for Avonline, said: “These works will bring a range of benefits to local communities including an enhanced full fibre broadband service and new digital opportunities for work, learning, leisure, and wellbeing, as well as considerable environmental benefits.”
Ogi’s Chief Delivery Officer, Steve Cooper, added: “As one of a cluster of partners helping us deliver an ambitious full fibre programme here in Wales, Avonline bring a wealth of experience to our delivery programme.”
