A new digital network launched by Connexin and Southend-on-Sea City Council is set to transform how local services are delivered, starting with the rollout of smart water meters, and will help make spotting potential problems much easier.

Gigaclear is celebrating a strong year of growth for 2024, with more than 130,000 connected customers on its network and 40,000 of these were connected in the last year alone – an increase in its customer base by almost 50% in just 12 months.
These figures represent a period of significant growth and a milestone for the company.
Nick Rawlings, Chief Marketing Officer at Gigaclear said: “Reaching the milestone of 130,000 customers is a huge achievement, and we have continued to invest in building our network in hard-to-reach places adding a further 100,000 properties in 2024, which now means we have over 580,000 properties Ready for Service.”
