Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

GoFibre is hosting a community event to celebrate its second anniversary of delivering ultra-fast full fibre broadband to West Fife, marking two years since the first local customers were connected.
To mark the milestone, the company is hosting an event at local Dunfermline restaurant, Canmore House, on 17th July, where residents and business owners are encouraged to drop in, meet the GoFibre team, and learn more about the benefits of full fibre broadband.
Those who register their interest with the broadband provider on the day will also be entered into a prize draw to win two years of free broadband.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, GoFibre is also inviting local community groups and charities that make a positive impact in the area - and need sponsorship support - to get in touch.
The company is looking to support an organisation that is based in, and serves, the residents of West Fife. This could include grassroots sports clubs, environmental initiatives, or groups that promote community wellbeing, education, or digital inclusion.
Application criteria should align with one of the following: community wellbeing; environmental benefit; education and skills; and internet safety & digital inclusion
Neil Conaghan, Chief Executive at GoFibre said: “It’s been an incredible journey bringing full fibre broadband to West Fife, but we know that building strong, connected communities goes beyond internet speeds, and that’s why we want to give back and support local groups doing great work in the area.”
