Liverpool-based resellers will soon benefit from a new £30m full-fibre network headed by ITS Technology Group.
The planned 212km network rollout is set to generate £105m for the local economy over 15 years and ultimately £1bn with full coverage across the region.
This will be welcome news for those in the area as Liverpool Visitor Economy Network estimates that the city's £4.9bn tourism and hospitality industry shrunk by £1bn between March and August 2020.
Daren Baythorpe, CEO of ITS Technology Group, said: "This programme will have a transformational effect for everyone in the region. The awarding of the contract further confirms ITS's place as a leading next generation network provider in the UK focused on helping businesses develop in the digital age."
