A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
M247 has completed its third full fibre city network bringing ultrafast connectivity to more Manchester businesses.
This move has improved connectivity options for over 27,000 businesses across Manchester, increasing its reach in these areas by 146%.
The project is part of a wider expansion programme across M247's UK and international networks, totalling a seven figure investment.
Exchanges have been unbundled across three key business districts in Manchester.
M247 also owns full fibre access networks in London and Leeds and is planning to roll out further city networks in Liverpool and Birmingham within this financial year.
Jenny Davies, CEO at M247, commented: "As businesses are increasingly adopting cloud technology, many are turning their attention to the kind of connectivity they use to achieve business grade speeds.
"Customers want the ability to choose which connectivity solution best fits their business needs, whether that be radio (wireless), fibre (cable) or both.
"Wireless connectivity will still continue to form a key part of our offering, and our Manchester city fibre network is about offering customers that choice all through one provider."
