Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

Openreach has passed a milestone in its Welsh fibre rollout, as more than 700,000 premises have been passed through its £210m investment.
More than 200,000 of these properties have been passed in the last 12 months.
Martin Williams, Partnership Director for Openreach in Wales, said: “Over the last 12 months we’ve been expanding our network to just under 4,000 properties every week.
“That’s the equivalent of connecting a town the size of Haverfordwest or St Asaph every single week. To make this happen our engineers are out in all kinds of weather across every part of Wales, both urban and rural.”
Engineers are now starting work to extend the network to Criccieth, Pencoed, Llangennech and Porthmadog.
Openreach is also working with the Welsh Government to connect thousands of additional homes in the hardest-to-reach parts of Wales.
