Quickline has teamed up with charity Run With It in a three-year partnership that will help fund its expansion south of the Humber, alongside enrichment days to boost key work skills for young people.
Quickline Communications is bringing a bespoke engagement programme to 16 secondary schools in collaboration with Ahead Partnership, introducing young people to the technology and digital sectors across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
The three-year initiative will help students to develop essential employability skills and connect them with industry professionals from across a range of technology disciplines for support and advice on careers.
The programme launch comes after the UK government has outlined Digital and Technologies as one of its key priority sectors in its recent Invest 2035 green paper.
According to Quickline, the collaboration forms a core part of its social value commitment under Project Gigabit.
Julie Holmes, Social Value Manager at Quickline said: “Through this collaboration, we will participate in school activities like careers fairs, mock interviews and panel sessions.
“We’re also enabling other partners to do the same, expanding the opportunities for young people to get exposure to the industry.”
