Quickline Communications has planted 10,000 climate-resilient trees across UK woodlands in partnership with GreenTheUK and the Royal Forestry Society.
Of the trees 65% have been planted in West and North Yorkshire where Quickline is progressing with Project Gigabit contracts won in February 2024.
Debbie McMillian, Business Continuity Manager, said: “As a rural broadband provider, we’re deeply connected to the landscapes and communities we serve.
“Tackling climate change is a priority for us and this project is one way we’re addressing the urgent need for climate action."
The type of tree planted will thrive in a changing climate, support wildlife corridors, and store carbon for decades, according to Quickline.
