Quickline Communications is helping more than 4,000 primary schoolchildren across North Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire benefit from an internet safety project that aims to keep pupils safe online and make their switch from primary to secondary education less emotionally stressful.

Glide has appointed John Standhaven as the new Head of Education, helping lead efforts to further grow the company’s presence in the primary and secondary school market, working closely with Local Authorities, School Trusts, and MSPs.
With a wealth of experience in the education sector, Standhaven will help drive forward Glide's ambitions to provide robust and reliable connectivity and safeguarding solutions to schools and MATs across the UK, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the education sector.
Standhaven joins Glide from Schools Broadband, where he successfully led the education sales team, having held a key role at Exa Networks, another specialist provider to the education market prior to this.
Tim Pilcher, CEO of Glide, commented: “John’s passion for supporting schools aligns with Glide’s values, and we’re confident that he will play a key role in growing our business in this market.”
