The Independent Networks Cooperative Association (INCA) has appointed Paddy Paddison as its new CEO to succeed Malcolm Corbett.
SWS Broadband has taken on 16 members of staff and moved to a new office location in Shrewsbury.
The appointees bring a range of previous experiences including a chef with an IT interest and a military dog handler.
Sales Director Rachel Corner said: “Apart from one person, the new members of staff have all been recruited from within Shropshire, some of whom have made a complete career change.
“While we are eager to advance new projects, adopting a measured approach to delivering our strategic goals is key to sustained business growth.”
The changes follow a £75M investment in the company last autumn.
