Truespeed revamp set to impact staff

Truespeed has begun a consultation with staff, some of who will be ‘affected’ by restructuring within the business, but the nature and extent of the impact of these changes on headcount was not disclosed.

A statement received from the altnet reads: “Our focus is to go through this process and support affected colleagues, so we will not be releasing any further details at this time.”

Truespeed will slow its rollout as it looks to improve sales and customer penetration in its existing network. It currently offers full fibre connectivity to over 91,000 premises and has connected 17,000 customers.

This is aimed at recalibrating its business plan to match the pace of infrastructure funding and the higher cost of capital in the economy.
