Wessex Internet has begun deploying Nokia’s 10Gbps XGS-PON technology and a Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing solution to upgrade the capacity of its core network.
The ISPs customers in Sunrise Business Park, Blandford the first were the first to be connected to the new network technology earlier this year.
The partnership with Nokia will help Wessex Internet reduce equipment and power requirements and accelerate its rollout.
