Hyperoptic grew its revenues from £65.1m in 2021 to £78.7m for the financial year ending 31st December 2022, a 21% increase.
The completion of Zzoomm’s network in Henley-on Thames has contributed to revenues of £0.4m as subscriptions spur 300% growth.
This was disclosed in the altnet's financial results for the year to 31st December 2021 which revealed operating losses of £8.1m (2020: loss £5m) reflecting a string of new hires and overhead investments to create regional and head offices.
Zzoomm now employs 500 people, of which 359 work in construction, with plans to increase this further to support future plans.
The rate of homes passed has jumped this year as Zoom has made 50,000 properties ready for service (10,000 in Dec 2021) and connected over 3,000 customers (1,300 in Dec 2021).
CEO Matthew Hare said: "In 2021 we laid the foundations for growth, and the first half of 2022 sees us realizing the potential of the Zzoomm fibre network.
"We are seeing momentum in our rollout and connection programs across all the 16 market towns in which we operate. Once these are completed, we will be able to provide fibre broadband to over 250,000 homes and businesses.
Zzoomm is further ramping up its rollout program after recently announcing Great Ayton and Stokesley, Sandbach, Northwich, Congleton, Wombourne and Sherburn-in-Elmet as it aims to offer services to one million properties over the next five years.
