Dark Fibre

The newest high-speed internet network operator for Wales, TfW ffeibr, has delivered its first commercial fibre connectivity contract for Cloud Centres Networks in partnership with Cardiff University to implement a dark fibre solution for the fibre that runs alongside railways.

ITS has been awarded the contract to deliver a dark fibre network for Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, aimed at enhancing digital connectivity for underserved businesses and residents, in an initiative that forms part of a £23m Newcastle Town Deal grant.

Ogi has completed work on a multimillion-pound programme to connect Cardiff’s economic gateway to its 10 Gigabit-capable full fibre network, bringing much needed resilience, diversity and wholesale capacity to city businesses.
