Telcom Group has been selected by Cardiff Council for the next phase of its Hypercity Transformation project, which will roll out full fibre internet network to homes and businesses across the city.
Network Plus has been awarded additional CityFibre contracts for full fibre rollouts in Preston and Blackpool.
The infrastructure partner has begun work on behalf of CityFibre in Rochdale and is continuing to build in Bradford and Halifax.
Network Plus will be undertaking a range of activities including a mixture of below ground construction and ducting of fibre cables, as well as installing poles for the aerial fibre network.
This work will create a range of local job opportunities from Graduate Quantity Surveyors to Fibre Supervisor and Delivery Manager.
“This complements our growing portfolio of work in delivering telecoms infrastructure across the UK,” said Dan Holland, CEO of Network Plus.
“The telecoms capabilities and skills Network Plus brings are pivotal to our success,” added Richard Thorpe, Chief Delivery Officer at CityFibre.
