Openreach is upping fibre education efforts in Uplawmoor following a rollout enabled by the UK Government’s Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme.
The Fibre Community Partnership scheme will enable eligible residents and SME businesses to claim vouchers worth up to £4,500 to help fund their upgrade.
The company will be bringing a specially adapted vehicle will come to Uplawmoor Hotel Car Park on 8th October to showcase services, before visiting towns and villages across the country throughout the month.
Stephen Chambers, Openreach’s Regional Engagement Manager, said: “Our digital roadshow in Uplawmoor will tell residents and businesses about our ultrafast Full Fibre broadband, how it works and what it offers.
“We’re going ahead with a fibre partnership here using UK Government vouchers and we’ve already had great support from the community.”
Over 1.3 million Scottish properties already have access to Openreach’s ultrafast Full fibre network, including more than 42,000 across Renfrewshire.
