Truespeed is investing £24m to address 21,000 premises in villages around Wiltshire and Mendip.

Engineering work will start in late Spring and move into early Summer 2023 across Beckington, Frome, Faulkland, Norton St Philips and Trowbridge.

This dovetails the altnet beginning work in Chipping Sodbury, Frampton Cotterell, Mark, Walton, Woolavington, Atworth, and Colerne.

CEO James Lowther said: “The need for broadband isn’t just about using your home computer anymore; a reliable connection is intrinsic to the smooth running of our day-to-day lives, linking everything from remotely operated thermostats, security cameras, smart meters to our TVs, mobile phones, tablets, and gaming consoles.”

Truespeed has connected over 150 schools and community centres across the south west.
