Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

CityFibre’s £114m Project Gigabit contract in Norfolk has hit a milestone with the first premises being connected.
Once complete, the network will connect around 62,000 hard-to-reach homes and businesses across Norfolk, including Buxton, Castle Acre and Horning.
Simon Holden, Group COO at CityFibre, said: “Project Gigabit is a real victory for residents and businesses across Norfolk and will future-proof digital infrastructure for years to come.”
Cllr. Jane James, cabinet member for Corporate Services and Innovation at Norfolk County Council said: “Access to extremely fast and reliable full fibre is incredibly important to our residents and businesses and will transform the way people live and work in these rural communities.”
The build is scheduled to finish in 2028.
