Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

Truespeed took its cumulative network to 60,000 properties passed in 2022 and has now connected 13,00 customers. The Bath-based altnet plans to double these figures by 2024.
“To help achieve this, we also plan to take advantage of the talent pool in the South West and will step up hiring,” said CEO James Lowther.
Truespeed hired 80 employees in 2022 to facilitate growth, taking its total headcount to 225
This enabled the altnet to pass more than 25,000 new properties across Somerset and the south West last year, where it invested £39m.
