Voneus teams up with Walney MP to boost Island broadband

Voneus are working with a local MP to roll out gigabit broadband on Walney Island, to support the island’s economic development. 

Residents on Walney Island were surveyed by Simon Fell MP and showed an appetite for enhanced speeds.

Voneus’ CEO Christopher Traggio said: “Voneus shares MP Simon Fell’s view on what a difference better, solid and reliable broadband can make in rural areas like Walney Island.

“Nearly five million households in the UK have joined the switch to better broadband and now residents and businesses of Walney can join them.”  

Fell and Voneus are hosting a drop-in at Walney High School’s Innovation Centre on 17th May from 2-5pm and all residents are invited.
