A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
ClearFibre, part of the Telcom Group, has completed the first phase of its project to deliver full fibre to Cardiff.
This is part of a part a city-wide project, delivered by Cardiff Council and funded by the Welsh Government, to build a network that serves premises currently suffering from poor broadband service.
Construction on phase two of the project, which will add more residences and businesses to ClearFibre’s growing coverage area, has already begun.
Chris Baldock, Executive Chairman at ClearFibre, said: “By bringing fast, reliable connections to parts of Cardiff that have historically suffered from slow, unstable internet, we’re helping bridge the gap between those being well served, and those being left behind.”
ClearFibre is also bringing five free Community Connections to community centres throughout the city to provide free, fast wireless internet to these vital public spaces.
