A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Digital Infrastructure has begun building its full fibre infrastructure in Killamarsh, which will address 19,000 residents once complete in early Summer. The network will be operated by Digital Infrastructure’s ISP brand BeFibre.
Construction will utilise existing ducts to avoid digging up Killamarsh’s roads, reducing disruption, rollout costs and the environmental impact of the network deployment.
Louise Elliott, Chief Customer and Operations Officer said: “There’s a lot of work to be done in the UK, to provide communities with the internet connectivity they truly need.”
