AllPoints Fibre Networks has agreed a new multi-million-pound partnership with BT Wholesale as it continues to expand the reach of its full fibre broadband offering.
CityFibre invited MP Chloe Smith for a tour of its £50m build project in Norwich to meet company representatives and see demonstrations of the typical build process, including excavation and reinstatement.
Smith said: “This full fibre network is a huge step forward in Norwich. It's never been more needed and I am delighted to see such investment and commitment taking place in Norwich.”
Charles Kitchin, CityFibre’s Area Manager for Norwich, added: “This new and improved digital network will drive a range of economic benefits for the whole city, such as making us more productive and innovative.”
Construction in Norwich is being delivered by Telec Networks in partnership with Norwich City Council, Norfolk County Council and the local community.
The full build is expected to take four years to complete with individual neighbourhoods going live via Vodafone, TalkTalk, Zen, Air Broadband and InTouch Systems, when complete.
