A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre has now laid 140km of full fibre internet beneath the streets of Doncaster as part of its £25m plan to overhaul the city’s digital infrastructure.
Build partner Heneghans is currently working in the Kirk Sandall and Armthorpe areas.
Area Manager Natalie Ward, said: "We have now laid enough fibre to go around our local racecourse 45 times.”
In Doncaster, customers can sign up to UK launch partner, Vodafone, as well as Zen, Air Broadband, EdenOak Ltd, Giganet, IDnet, Octaplus, Pure, Quickline, TalkTalk, Trunk, and Yayzi with other providers expected to join the network soon.
