Airband Community Internet has published its latest financial results for the year ended 2023, revealing the altnet ISP had rapid growth and strong investment to significantly extend its reach.
CityFibre generated £100m in revenue during 2023 and delivered more than one million premises ready for services.
This means its network has now passed 3.5 million premises, of which over 3.2 million are RFS.
During 2023, CityFibre’s 41 consumer ISPs drove over 165,000 new customer connections, an increase of 98% versus those delivered in 2022.
This brings CityFibre’s live customer connections to over 337,000. In Milton Keynes, CityFibre’s most mature market, the take up rate is more than 30%.
The company expects to deliver EBITDA breakeven in H1 2024. In 2024, it hopes to deliver a further one million RFS premises through continued build and a pipeline of M&A.
CEO Greg Mesch said: “Despite a challenging operating environment, CityFibre continues to go from strength to strength. We will build on this firm foundation and explore opportunities to transform our expansion ambitions in 2024 and beyond.”
