A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Construction of CityFibre’s £50m town-wide full fibre network has begun in Maidstone which is set to pass all premises in the region by 2027.
Construction is being delivered by Lanes-i which is using a range of construction methods while working in close partnership with Kent County Council and local communities.
Area Manager Anne Krausse said: “Our network will help ensure that Maidstone is ready to thrive in the digital age by giving almost every home and business in the town access.”
In Maidstone, services will be available from a range of broadband providers.
