A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre will be able to extend its fibre network to more than 5,000 households in Bracknell having signed a wayleave agreement with Silva Homes.
The deal provides permission for the required groundworks and installations to be completed, boosting CityFibre's £20m investment in the town.
Sanjay Sudra, Head of Wayleaves at CityFibre, said: “This agreement will make a genuine difference to thousands of people living in social housing in Bracknell. Internet access is no longer a luxury, it’s a must-have utility that touches so many aspects of our lives.
Tim Hall, Lead Asset Partner (Planned Works) at Silva Homes, added: “Bracknell is currently undergoing a huge transformation of its digital infrastructure which will benefit residents for years to come.”
CityFibre services are available in Bracknell via Vodafone, TalkTalk, Giganet, Zen, IDnet, Trunk, Octaplus, Yayzi, Zybre and Andrews & Arnold.
