Gigaclear has given financial support to a community initiative in Cinderford, where the altnet has passed 5,500 homes and businesses with fibre.
The Gigaclear Kidz in the Community scheme, launched by Cinderford Rugby Club, will encourage youngsters in the town to give the sport a try and is due to kick-off in October.
The scheme is part of a new sponsorship package that will see Gigaclear help fund next year’s summer camp at the club as well as a minis and juniors challenge competition.
Gigaclear’s Head of Marketing Andy Brotherton said: “We recognise the important role the rugby club plays at the heart of the community, and we are keen to support their efforts.”
Cinderford Rugby Club Commercial Manager, Paul Willetts, said: “Like many in the town, we welcome Gigaclear’s efforts to extend its network to the town. Hopefully this will be the start of a long-term partnership.”
