Over 98% of Gloucestershire homes and businesses can now access a superfast broadband connection, through one of the first types of UK projects of its kind that started in 2012 to increase superfast coverage in the county.

Gigaclear will now benefit from a simpler approval process when utilising Openreach’s existing infrastructure after being awarded national Path to Collaboration (PTC) status.
The enhanced status enables the altnet to streamline its network build when utilising the Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) product.
Caitlin Johnston, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Gigaclear, said: “We value the partnership and growing relationship we have built with Openreach and the collaborative approach which has been taken to achieve this status.”
Gav Rae, Principal, Physical Infrastructure Access, Fibre & Network Delivery for Openreach, added: “Gigaclear provide good documentation and a high quality of requests into Openreach and the teams work in a collaborative manner."
