Recent research by Neos Networks reveals that almost all altnet providers are considering M&A and collaborations with other service providers as a means of survival and expansion in the UK’s broadband market.

CityFibre and Community Fibre are among the parties reported to have expressed interest in acquiring G.Network, according to Sky.
Investors in the London-based altnet, which include the universities pension scheme USS, are reportedly working with Bankers Nomura and Jefferies to explore a sale.
The altnet currently has a footprint of 415,000 plus premises passed and secured £85m funding from USS last month.
