Freedom Fibre and Inmanta have signed a multi-year agreement to automate their FTTH services using Inmanta's intent-based service orchestrator, helping meet the growing demands of its customers.
As GoFibre works in the Scottish Borders, it will partner with Emtelle, which has local manufacturing facilities.
Emtelle will supply GoFibre with the duct, sub-duct and fibre required to connect more than 8,000 premises across Hawick to fibre.
Andy Hepburn, GoFibre’s COO, said: “As a Duns-born business, it’s important we’re partnering with local, and well-respected, organisations where business equates to local jobs and opportunities.”
Colin Kirkpatrick, Emtelle’s Solutions Director, added: "Our partnership highlights the power of local businesses and suppliers working together.”
The first customers are planned to be connected in Hawick during Autumn 2023.
GoFibre’s services are already available to residents and businesses across St Boswells, Coldstream, Kelso, Galashiels and Melrose.
