Openreach has published the list of 137 exchange locations in its FTTP Priority Exchange Stop Sell programme, covering 854,000 UK premises and will give a year’s notice to communication providers ending traditional copper-based phone and broadband services and encourage full fibre upgrading.

GoFibre is celebrating a 500-customer milestone in Kirriemuir and has teamed up with Peel Farm Coffee & Crafts to host a local community event to mark the occasion.
Running from 10am to 12:30pm on 25th July, residents and businesses who attend and register their interest with GoFibre on the day will be treated to a complimentary coffee and cake in the café and automatically entered into a prize draw to win two years’ free broadband.
Claire Fleming, Owner of Peel Farm Coffee & Crafts said: “We’ve always seen Peel Farm as a place for connection - whether that’s over a coffee, a walk, or a shared love of local craft. Partnering with GoFibre for this event feels like a natural fit.”
Reginald Nhliziyo, Community Engagement Executive at GoFibre said: “At GoFibre, we believe that digital infrastructure should go together with community investment.
“By supporting organisations like Peel Farm and Kirrie Connections, we’re working to build a future where everyone benefits.”
Since launching its rollout across Scotland and Northern England, GoFibre has brought high-speed connectivity to more than 15,000 homes and businesses across Angus, including around 3,000 in Kirriemuir alone.
In July, GoFibre was also awarded the Project Gigabit contract to connect around 63,000 new premises in the north-east of Scotland, including several areas in Angus, the biggest regional award from the programme in Scotland.
