YouFibre has connected the 2,500th customer to its full fibre network, which is being built by infrastructure partner Netomnia.
UK homes must have better broadband speed to improve productivity and well-being as the march to hybrid working continues.
That's the outcome of research carried out on behalf of B2B network provider TalkTalk Business examining the benefits of hybrid working and the challenges that employers and staff face in adapting to new work models.
Independent consultancy Quadrangle consulted with 35 TalkTalk Business wholesale partners and interviewed 739 business decision makers and 2,530 employees to produce the Homeworker White paper which TTB says has underlined the need to deliver full fibre to every home and businesses across the nation.
Richard Thompson, MD, Wholesale at TalkTalk Business, commented: "As UK business and their employees embrace the 'new-normal' of hybrid working, our mission to deliver full fibre has never felt more urgent. Our partners are in a great position to shape and leverage this home working opportunity and help their customers with connectivity and staff well-being, and we're excited to be able to help support this."
Nearly half of the TTB partners questioned thought year-round premium support or 'dedicated direct business grade support' would appeal to clients, especially with set-up, configuration and to reduce the number of service calls in the long run. Better productivity was a key selling point for 43%, 54% thought enhanced video calling would be an attractive selling point and 49% cited better upload speeds.
TTB have provided the white paper as an extension to its Homeworker Package, which enables channel partners to offer business-grade connectivity to customer employees working from home.
