The Spring Budget has failed to recognise the importance of connectivity infrastructure in supporting growth for the UK's digital economy, says Evolve CEO Alan Stephenson-Brown, who seeks more clarity as networks continue to be rolled out.

Hyperoptic has joined the Broadband Stakeholder Group (BSG) to take a more active role in breaking the barriers that hold back altnets.
The BSG is the UK Government’s advisory group on broadband, providing a forum for organisations across the industry to discuss policy, regulatory and commercial issues.
James Fredrickson, Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Hyperoptic, said: “Some of the biggest barriers facing the acceleration of full fibre rollout are ultimately the product of an inter-connected patchwork of different policy areas; be that land access, supply chain logistics or labour market access.
Stephanie Liston, BSG Chair, said: “As we undertake a 20-year strategic review and refresh of our activities, we continue to support the delivery of digital connectivity across UK society and the economy.”
