Hyperoptic names Fredrickson Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs

Hyperoptic has appointed James Fredrickson as Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs to leverage his knowledge across fixed and mobile.

Fredrickson joins from Gigaclear where he spent four years running its policy and regulatory affairs. Prior to that he spent five years at Vodafone within its regulatory division.

At Hyperoptic, he will lead the policy and regulatory affairs function, and provide strategic council to the executive leadership team on enhancing relations with Ofcom and central government.

CFO Richard Woodward said: “As we scale our business, it’s important that we have the right skills and voice to help ensure that the conditions remain favourable for us to continue our investment in the future of the UK’s digital infrastructure.”
