Airband Community Internet has published its latest financial results for the year ended 2023, revealing the altnet ISP had rapid growth and strong investment to significantly extend its reach.

Hyperoptic revenues increased 19% from £78.7m to £93.4m in the year ended 31st December 2023, which saw the provider hit some significant milestones.
It hit the 300,000-customer milestone in October 2023 (311,999 by December), and over 1.5 million Homes Passed in December 2023. This represented a customer base growth of 17% and a network expansion that utilised £187.6m of investment.
Hyperoptic also connected its 200,000th new Build home, partnering with over 250 developers across Britain.
Its investments saw losses for the year swell to £142m, up from £76m last year. Gross profit was up to £73m to £62.3m.
The altnet’s total employee count increased from 1,865 to 1,943.
