A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre and build partner O’Connor Utilities recently welcomed Fabian Hamilton, Member of Parliament for Leeds north east, for a tour of its Pudsey Fibre Exchange (FEx) to give him a closer look at the city-wide project.
The FEx in Pudsey is part of a network of purpose-built micro-edge data centres used by CityFibre to deliver, manage and monitor live services and data across its network.
Kim Johnston, Regional Partnership Director for CityFibre, said: “According to recent Hatch research, in Leeds alone, our full fibre network is expected to unlock £972m in productivity and innovation, as well as deliver a £406m increase in house value.”
In Leeds, customers can choose services from Vodafone, TalkTalk, Giganet, Zen and others.
