Openreach is continuing to roll out faster broadband across the UK, and has connected around 8,000 residents in Barnet to its upgraded network, improving digital access to essential services.

LightSpeed has been acquired by Kompass Kapital following a period of restructuring which saw reported job cuts and a dip in build rate.
Kompass Kapital first invested in The LightSpeed Group in February 2021 and has now acquired 100% of the share capital from the Atmosclear Investments Group.
As part of this transaction, Kompass Kapital has also committed new capital to the business.
LightSpeed Director Graham Bell said: “With this new investment, LightSpeed is poised to accelerate its growth trajectory.”
The altnet received £60m investment from Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Fund in 2021 and committed to passing one million homes by 2025.
Spalding Today reported news from a company whistleblower in April that the altnet would make more than 19 redundancies through reorganisation following a dip in build rate.
