More than 14,000 more homes in Filey and Pickering can now access Virgin Media’s gigabit broadband services.

LightSpeed has connected 2,700 more homes and businesses in Cromer and Sheringham that will now benefit from speeds of up to 2Gbps, helping to increase internet connection quality in the county's suburban areas.
According to BroadbandExposed, just 5.75% of premises in the area have Gigabit-capable broadband available, meaning LightSpeed’s upgrades will allow residents to benefit from the faster broadband speeds with minimal interruptions.
With 2,700 premises currently live following LightSpeed’s launch, the altnet provider will serve a total of 9,500 by the end of March.
Cromer and Sheringham join Norfolk towns Hunstanton, Fakenham, Kings Lynn, Dereham, Downham Market and Thetford on the LightSpeed network to bolster Gigabit broadband coverage in the region’s underserved areas.
