A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
More than 26,000 homes throughout Chipping Sodbury, Yate and Warminster are to receive access to Lit Fibre’s services, bringing the total number of towns addressed by the altnet to 20.
The three new towns move Lit Fibre closer towards its mission to deploy fibre to 500,000 homes by 2026
LitFibre is available in 12 towns with a further five towns due to go live imminently.
Tom Williams, CEO of Lit Fibre, said: “There is a clear need for speed within these towns and we are working to supercharge the communities with our full-fibre network.”
Lit Fibre is currently available in Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Redditch, Melksham, Harpenden, Sutton Coldfield, Chippenham, Cirencester, Evesham, Clacton-on-Sea, Bishops Stortford and Sudbury, with installation underway in St Albans, Chelmsford, Welwyn Garden City, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Potters Bar, Chipping Sodbury, Yate and Warminster.
