Supplier of digital infrastructure products Mills Ltd has increased its storage capability by 25% by opening a new unit at its Uxbridge HQ.

The Fibreprovider.net team was invited to witness Unit 8’s unveiling, which was done by CEO Jerry Mills and CityFibre’s Director of Supply Chain James Thomas.

The new unit is 20,000sq ft, which when combined with Unit 2 and its Brackley satellite, gives the supplier a square footage of over 100,000.

Mills has also increased its labour force by 25%, bringing it to a total of 60 staff, supporting several altnets in the space.

Jerry Mills said: “To support the massive fibre rollout in the telecommunication market, we have quadrupled our stock inventory over the last two years.

“We were delighted to invite James Thomas and his procurement team from CityFibre to facilitate at the opening. This unit gives us so much more capacity and helps with the big stock we now have for CityFibre and other key players.”

Thomas added: “Mills is a great success story of the UK’s broadband boom and has been a fantastic supplier partner for us as we have scaled our operations.”
