A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Netomnia is investing £53m into Wesnesbury and Walsall in the West Midlands to provide fibre broadband infrastructure to around 181,000 premises across both towns.
A further £11.1m is being spent by the altnet to pass 37,000 homes and businesses in the neighbouring area of Stafford.
MD Zoltan Kovacs said: “We’re proud to be building on our existing presence in the West Midlands and providing an optimal full fibre network that will benefit residents and businesses for decades to come.
“We believe everyone should have access to a broadband network that will support them in their day-to-day lives.”
