Netomnia is investing a combined £78m into four new network builds, that will reach a total of 265,000 premises across Livingston, Tunbridge Wells, Burntwood, Morriston and Neath.

In Livingston, Netomnia is committing £20m to reach 67,000 premises. This will take the altnet’s total investment in Scotland to £100m, with a network that extends to 350,000 homes and businesses.

Netomnia is also increasing its footprint in Wales, working with G Force Telecom to build fibre infrastructure to 90,000 more premises. Morriston and Neath will split a £35.5m investment with Netomnia reaching 35,000 and 50,000 premises in the towns respectively.

The altnet is working with STL in Burntwood to oversee a £16.6m project that will make fibre services made available to 55,000 homes and businesses.

A further £15.9m will be used to ensure 53,000 premises in Tunbridge wells have access to full fibre.

Jeremy Chelot, CEO at Netomnia, said: “We want to ensure everyone across the UK has equal access to fibre, we are currently operating at a build rate of 30,000 premises per month.”
