nexfibre has published its latest quarterly build update (Q1 2025), which shows its 10GBps FTTP/XGS-PON broadband network now covers 2.2m UK premises, with scaled back coverage target for 2025 to 2.5m premises passed, reducing future build plans for the next year.

CityFibre has completed its primary build in kettering, bringing full fibre to over 25,000 of the town’s homes. The network covers 86% of local premises.
Construction began on the £17m project in 2022 and CityFibre has since laid 162km of dense full fibre infrastructure across the town.
Charlie Kitchin, CityFibre’s Partnership Manager for Kettering, said: “Residents can now enjoy seamless streaming with ample productivity and innovation benefits for the local economy.”
In Kettering, CityFibre services are available through Vodafone, as well as TalkTalk, IDNet, Zen and Giganet.
The provider will now continue to densify and connect properties in multi-dwelling buildings and on private roads.
