A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Ruth Edwards, MP for Rushcliffe, visited CityFibre’s £117m fibre rollout project in Nottingham which could unlock £660m in productivity and innovation and deliver a £432m increase in house value.
During the visit, representatives from CityFibre and build partner McCann gave Ms Edwards an overview typical build process, including excavation and reinstatement.
So far 110km of fibre infrastructure have been laid in the city with consultation from Nottingham City Council and local communities.
"The economic benefits of the infrastructure updates are vast, and we look forward to making the most of our improved connectivity," said Ruth Edwards, MP for Rushcliffe.
