A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Swish Fibre has launched a new Yorkshire subsidiary, marking the altnet’s first move to deliver fibre broadband to underserved homes and businesses outside of the south of England.
Backed by Swish Fibre’s central operation, Swish Fibre Yorkshire will be led by Bob Snowden, who brings over thirty years of engineering and management experience in the deployment of telecommunications networks.
The subsidiary will commence in the north of the region across Boroughbridge, South Milford, Hillam and Sherburn in Elmet with more areas to be announced.
“The launch of Swish Fibre Yorkshire is a key milestone for us as we look to expand our footprint across the UK and drive an increase in market share through both organic and inorganic growth,” said Brice Yharrassarry, CEO of Swish Fibre.
“My team’s experience on the ground here will complement Swish Fibre’s infrastructure as we look to rapidly build and deploy fibre in the region,” said Snowden.
