Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

Virgin Media O2 has connected an additional 6,400 additional homes in East Grinstead to its network.
Steve Waight, Cabinet Member for Digital Infrastructure said: “The town is one of many in the county where telecommunications suppliers are building the fibre networks that will serve our homes and businesses for the future.
“West Sussex County Council and the county’s District and Borough councils are working with Government and the telecommunications market to facilitate inward investment into digital infrastructure.”
VMO2 is currently investing around £2bn a year in its networks and services and is in the process of upgrading its fixed network to full fibre to the premises technology.
